Candidate Dan Haugen
I am proud to support Dan Haugen for election to our Wayzata School Board, as I have worked with Dan on mental health, addiction and education issues and I believe he would bring critical expertise to our School District 284. Dan Haugen also knows how to work in a non-partisan, pragmatic and common sense way to find common ground. Dan is a leader who cares about kids!
Jim Ramstad, Former Member of Congress
I write this letter in support of Dan Haugen's candidacy for the Wayzata School Board. I first met Dan as a volunteer coach for youth sports in Plymouth. Not only was Dan a dedicated and caring coach for Plymouth youth, he also taught them good sportsmanship, leadership skills and the importance of character, win or lose. These are traits that Dan possesses himself. Dan has the knowledge and experience to lead the Wayzata School District through the challenges that lie ahead, including growth in the district. The Wayzata School District needs an individual that understands the importance of balancing growth with the needs of students. Dan will put student success and high achievement above all else. Wayzata Schools have a long history of excellence thanks to the dedication of past board members, I am confident that Dan will continue the legacy. I ask you to join me in supporting Dan Haugen for Wayzata School Board.
Kelli Slavik, Plymouth Mayor
Dan’s background and current job will enable him to be an integral part of the team needed to direct the path of education for the children in our community. His leadership, knowledge, and people skills will allow him to communicate the direction our district needs to take in the ever-changing world of education. The one thing I know that will always be the driving force behind his decisions will be--What is best for our children?
I ask for you to join me in your support of Dan Haugen in his candidacy as a director of the Wayzata School District School Board. He will prove to be an outstanding and vital part of the leadership that our community needs and deserves as we face future educational challenges.
